UPDATE 9/20/09: As many of you know, I am expecting my 2nd child soon and went from being due mid-October to being due "any day." I will be working part time (hence, only on the site here and there) until said child joins us. Once he arrives, I'll be on official maternity leave for 6-8 weeks. I'll be sure to update you all myself or have someone pass along my good news when the time comes. I’m Stephanie – your Lansing MomsLikeMe site manager. I am SO excited to be a part of this new Web site – to interact with other local moms and be at the forefront of family-friendly happenings in the greater Lansing area. My daughter, Emilia, and I are constantly out and about, stumbling upon fun new things to do – and I look forward to meeting you along the way, whether at events or online.
They say the learning curve for a new job is about six months. Motherhood, I think is the great exception to that rule. After two years at this job of being a mom, I am no expert. And I haven’t met a mom yet, no matter how long she’s been doing it, who would say she doesn’t still learn new tricks. I am thrilled that we have a new place to learn, laugh, share and support one another. We’re all here, all the time – whether it’s nap time, bed time, a stolen moment during the chaos or in the middle of the night when the house is quiet.
